À propos de P'anne Ally. . .
Phyllis (phyllis anne ou p'anne ally), émane d'une famille créative du Midwest. Après avoir étudié les beaux-arts à l'université, elle a voyagé en solo à travers les États-Unis dans un cabriolet Volkswagen, étudiant l'art, le théâtre et la psychologie dans 3 universités. Elle a obtenu une maîtrise en counseling de l'Université de Santa Clara en Californie.

Après avoir vécu sur les deux côtes, elle a quitté le monde de l'art et a élevé 2 enfants. Après avoir obtenu son permis, elle est devenue conseillère matrimoniale et familiale. Ensuite, alors qu'elle parcourait le monde pour enseigner, organiser des conférences et présenter, elle s'éloignait pour visiter des musées d'art, des galeries et des studios. En 2004, elle loue son propre studio d'art. Maintenant, artiste et thérapeute à temps plein, elle travaille et expose des œuvres d'art dans la région de la baie et à travers les États-Unis. Son style évolutif, influencé par l'histoire de la vie et la nature, est principalement expressionniste abstrait et abstrait.
Déclaration de l'artiste
My first memories are of making art with my hearing impaired, artist grandmother. I loved movies & theater. Studying drama & art in college, I identified with behind-the-scenes action & grunge of theater. I am still moved by the story & drama of people’s lives. My work envelops the good, the bad & ugly of the lived in world. The order & disorder, peace & chaos of nature & humanity, are reflected in my work. What I aim to convey is the delicious ways we overcome obstacles, find peace in the midst of confusion, love in the disarray of disagreement & congruence within ourselves. The necessary wabi-sabi of life, making something new of the old, honoring the time worn while encouraging spontaneity so easy to lose, is what I hope to capture in my work. How I live is how I create.

The visual narrative of my art, winds its way in, surprising me & hopefully the viewer. During the creative process, I let go & enter what feels like a trance-like state. It is then my best work emerges. It is a triumph when the painting seems to paint itself revealing surprising stories or feelings & deeper secrets emanating from the unconscious in me, transforming in the reflected experience of the viewer.

Releasing ego, perfectionism & fear of exposure, I enter the creative arena where the work begins. The process feels mysterious, vulnerable, & even sacred. As the creative process unfolds, a contrast of chaos & order weaves its way into the heart of my work. At best, resulting images act as a Rorschach igniting internal conversations between viewer & image, enlivening dormant mysteries, sparking an awareness of precious aliveness. I like the quotation:
